Over the last few weeks ELVES has been out and about at events around the country. The weather hasn’t always been on our side, but that hasn’t stopped us!
Having a stand at events like Party in the Park and the Mosney and Terenure Car shows has be great to increase awareness about ELVES, how to scrap a vehicle and our ATF network. It was surprising the number of conversations we had with visitors that started ‘I have this old car’.
At each event we have run a free draw to win a Lego car. All people had to do was answer a couple of easy questions on how to scrap a car or small van. You guessed it, take it to an Authorised Treatment Facility and ask for a Certificate of Destruction. The competition was a real draw, with hundreds of entries.
People also loved to come and have a look at our mascot, the Heinkel. Built in 1961 in Dundalk, the car was very popular, particularly with the kids!
We hope to be out at other events in the near future, spreading the ATF and CoD message!
