Compliance Programme Executive

ELVES is the compliance scheme for End of life Vehicles (ELVs). Approved to operate under the ELV Regulations in January 2017, its work aims to help Ireland meet the reuse, recycling and recovery targets for ELVs.

Key work areas include:

  •         Building a network of Authorised Treatment Facilities (permitted scrapyards).
  •         Education and awareness about the network and the correct way to scrap a vehicle.
  •         Providing an effective compliance option for obligated producers.

ELVES is looking for someone to join our small team. The work will be focused on the following areas but the successful candidate will be expected to assist across all work areas if required.

  •         Supporting the management of the ATF (Authorised Treatment Facility) Network, including:

o   Day to day relationship management

o   Collection of data and its validation from ATFs in the ELVES Network

o   Assisting in the audits of ATFs in the Network.

o   Managing feedback from Network users.

  •         Writing content and helping to maintain the ELVES website and social media accounts.
  •         Representing and providing information about ELVES at public events.
  •         Customer service management including answering email and phone queries from members of the public, ATFs and other stakeholders.

Experience/skills required:

  •         3rd level degree in environmental science or related area.
  •         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •         Strong computer skills, experience using key Office programs including Excel.
  •         Ability to build good relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  •         Good head for figures, able to check and analyse data.
  •         Knowledge/ experience of environmental and/or data auditing.
  •         Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of tasks as and when required.
  •         Full, clean Driver’s Licence

The role is based at the ELVES offices in Drogheda, but will involve some travel within Ireland, with potential overnight stays when required.

Job Type: Full time, permanent, with 6 months’ probation

Salary: c. Dependant on experience, plus benefits
