Electric ELVES awareness training – new dates for December

Posted in Category: Company News

This December ELVES will once again be offering ATFs in Ireland the opportunity to undertake electric and hybrid vehicle awareness training through its Electric ELVES programme. In addition to basic awareness training, this round of training will see a more advanced course offered to participants that have already completed introductory course.

The courses offered under the Electric ELVES programme are provided by Salvage Wire Ltd, a training organisation that specialises in hybrid and electric vehicle training for Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATFs). The courses are provided free of charge and are offered to all ATFs in Ireland.

The courses offered this December are:

  • Wed 1st Dec, Dublin - Safe Handling of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles.
  • Thurs 2nd Dec, Naas - City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Repair and Replacement.
  • Fri 3rd Dec, Waterford - Safe Handling of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles.

The training sessions offered through Electric ELVES are aimed at ATFs currently operating in the sector, and are designed to ensure they have the expertise and know-how to safely and effectively manage electric and hybrid vehicles when they arise at their sites.

The Electric ELVES training has so far been delivered in Dublin, Naas, Monaghan, Cork, and Galway, with an online version also provided in the first half of 2021. The training has been very well received by ATFs, with over 100 staff having now completed the Safe Handling of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles awareness course. The training is offered as part of the Electric ELVES programme, that also provides collection and recycling of EV batteries as well as access to dismantling information support for ATFs.

Interested ATFs should visit www.electricelves.ie to find out more and download an application form.
